FR. RAPHAEL MENSAH
Fr. Raphael Mensah was born at Nkroful, Western Region, Ghana on July 25th 1967. He had his elementary education in Axim, and started his seminary formation, after receiving his vocation to the priesthood, at St. Teresa’s Minor Seminary, Amisano. He continued from there to St Paul’s Major Seminary, Sowutuom, and finally landed at St. Peter’s Regional Seminary, Pedu.
On July 27th 1997 he was ordained a Catholic priest at the Star of the Sea Cathedral, Takoradi. He is from the Catholic Diocese of Sekondi-Takoradi, Ghana.
Fr. Ralph, as he is popularly known is currently the Chancellor of the Catholic Diocese of Sekondi-Takoradi and Canon Law Lecturer at St, Peter’s Regional Major Seminary, Pedu, Cape Coast. He joined the Seminary Staff in September 12th 2012. He holds BA in Sociology and Religions, Legon, Ghana. He studied Canon Law from the Pontificia Universita’ Urbaniana, Rome, where he obtained his PhD. He also holds a Diploma in Jurisprudence, Rome. He is a Judge at the Inter-diocesan Ecclesiastical Tribunal, Cape Coast Ecclesiastical Province and, the Coordinator, Juridical Matters Unit, Department of Pastoral Ministry and Evangelization at the National Catholic Secretariat, Accra. He is the Priest in charge of Entertainment in the Seminary.
